Off the Beaten Path

"Heeyyyyyyyyy!"

Emma ruined Mollie's sunbathing spot.  Gooooooo Emma!

Zack had a couple of days off this weekend and they were much deserved after a long, hard month.  It was a treat for me to see Papa rocking and reading to Emma before bed.  So sweet!  We were able to relax a bit over the weekend and on Monday enjoyed a hike at Veteran's Park.  It was a lot of fun and we had a great time enjoying the beautiful weather.  It felt good to be able to do a little light hiking in the woods.  The trails were easy, but it was great to get off of the paved paths for a while.

Yesterday Emma rode in her stroller like a big girl for the first time!  (Sitting in the seat, not in her infant carseat.) I made her wear a hat to keep the sun out of her eyes and she looked way too cute.  She would kick her little feet and make happy sounds while we were walking and it made me the happiest Mama there is.

Emma is still working on weaning herself which adds extra work to my day due to pumping.  I've learned to accept it, even though I'm not pumped (haha) about the idea.  On a happy note though, she has been eating really really well for us.  She loves beans of all varieties, pancakes, green beans, raspberries and orange juice and has become a true proficient at drinking from a regular cup.  She's growing up so so fast.
