We have had a very busy weekend! Zack had his big board exam Thursday and Friday. We were able to visit with him a little bit in the mornings and then he was gone until the evening. We are SO glad this last big exam is over! One more huge one when he graduates residency, but for now it's all done. Whew!
Emma and I went to the lake by Palmer's for fun on Friday and we fed the ducks, walked outside, and went to the bookstore. On Saturday Zack had the whole day off and it was wonderful! We got some work done around the house, Emma and I went garage sale-ing for the first time, we all ate lunch together at Chuy's, went for a long hike at the park on the trails, and then had a bonfire that night and invited our neighbors over for a visit. It was a busy day!
Today we did more work around the house and enjoyed the gorgeous weather. Emma is suffering from allergies, the doctors (Z and the pediatrician) think. She is still getting the heavy drainage and has coughed so hard that the last two days she's again threw up. Poor girl! The only saving grace is that she is happy. I keep making the throat clearing noise for her in hopes that she'll catch onto that like she did the raspberry/fart noise. No luck so far.
After Zack went to work this evening, Emma and I went out for a walk to the park by our home. We loved it all and always have fun on the swings and slide. On our way home however, nature decided to bless Emma and wish her luck for her long, happy, healthy life ahead of her. A bird pooped on her! Luckily she was wearing a bucket hat and so the poop only landed on her hand and hat brim. Luckily for me I saw it and wiped it off her hand before she had a chance to lick it. Close call... Isn't it in Tuscany that getting pooped on is good luck? Well, Emma is one lucky lady! Even if it is under a Kentucky sun and not a Tuscan one.
