Full Moon

Tonight Emma gave me a real treat by sitting up in her tripod (or as Papa says, her monkey) pose unassisted.  She's been sitting upright well with a little bit of balancing support, but was able to lean over tonight without our help.  Before when we would help her sit up she'd just lean forward and bonk her forehead.  Now she's learned a new trick! You can just see Papa's hand holding her in place since we're awful parents and have her on the countertop.  I know... not safe... but that's what we're there for, right?  This photo's cute because you can see her sweet smiles.  The other side is adorable too with two cute biscuits showing.  There's nothing quite like seeing a cute little full moon.

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

Papa and Emma were watching the Auburn game.  What a GREAT win!

Yesterday Zack helped me bring down all of our Christmas decorations from the attic and I was able to put the tree up.  It's always so much fun for me to hang up all of my beautiful ornaments.   This year my favorite ornament is the one on the floor that also likes to spread some Christmas cheese... I mean cheer.

Gobble Gobble Goo and Gobble Gobble Giggle

Awwwww... holding hands!

Who knew both turkey AND breastmilk had tryptophan?

Emma's first time meeting Great-Aunt Cheri.

Sweet potatoes.... yummy!

(What you're missing hearing is Terrah asking Walt, "How did you get chocolate in your belly button?!")

Happy Thanksgiving!!

We had a wonderful holiday week with our trip back to Indiana and a Thanksgiving celebration with friends in Kentucky.  Zack's vacation week is already almost over and we have hardly had a chance to catch our breath! We have gotten lots of visiting time in with friends and family and hope to have time this weekend to all three relax together.  We truly have a lot to be thankful for this year!

Monday night Gabby and I dragged Paula and my mom out to a 10pm showing of "Catching Fire" and it was AMAZING!  We didn't get back home until 1:30am, but it was completely worth it.  I consider my first big outing without Emma not only a success, but a fun success!  It was a blast to have a girls night out, especially on a work/school night.

Gobble gobble goo and gobble gobble giggle... I wish that turkey only cost a little!  We had a LOT of goo and TONS of giggles this holiday!

Smoothie Suckers

I LOVE the top photo... it's like she's saying, "Excuse me, but MORE sweet potato, LESS photos! I mean BUSINESS!" Plus... who doesn't love looking at all of those rolls and that sweet tummy?

We worked hard today to try and find something I can bring home for Thanksgiving dinner that was able to travel well.  It's not an easy task!  I'm used to taking three items (deviled eggs, pie, and polish mistakes) to every holiday and now I am seriously restricted in what I can bring unless I plan to grocery shop and cook once I arrive (NOT happening!).  So.... hopefully everyone is in the mood for puppy chow.  It's better than arriving empty handed, right?

Today we went to storytime at the library, to take Papa a sandwich at work, and then to the mall to do some Christmas shopping.  We ended up leaving with some gifts, lots of clothes for Emma (CUTE!), and a couple of free items for me.  What fun! They have a nursing room in the mall, which made us able to stay longer.  Smart for them- I spent more money because of it!  I didn't, however, spend any money on a smoothie I wanted.  I stood there with Emma (post nursing so I was parched) and both young girls looked at me and then kept talking to the boys that were there (who were NOT ordering a smoothie, I might add).  Never once did they say they'd be there to help me or to wait and I'd be helped.  I was ignored.  They didn't get my business.  And I went thirsty.... and saved $3.50 on a smoothie that probably would've sucked anyways.  Smart idea to hire pretty girls that don't look like trash.  BAD idea to hire girls who don't sell smoothies. Big giant stinking smoothie suckers. The worst part?  They don't care they didn't get me a smoothie but I'm STILL craving one. Sigh....
